Creating a Guided Motion System for Any Environment

Tracks, wheels and systems they comprise move the machinery and automate the equipment we use to create countless products that fuel our economy and advance our society.

Components that make up these motion systems allow us to move heavy loads. They can be customized and adjusted for any number of functions or operational tasks, depending on load capacity, direction and chemical compatibility.

Typically, these guided motion systems are designed to work in clean, well-lubricated conditions. Of course, after months of repeated use, those conditions are a rarity in the industrial setting flying with all kinds of contaminants—debris, dirt, metal chips, sawdust, chemicals, water and more.

Experienced designers understand that they need to use components that can withstand the dirtiest conditions. Otherwise, they'll have to deal with premature equipment failure. One of the biggest hijackers of productivity: debris. That's why engineers look for guided motion components that can withstand dirty conditions and challenging environments.

Our product manager and engineer extraordinaire Brian Burke recently hosted a webinar about how to create a robust guided motion system for any environment.

As a company, we want to create quality products. As individuals, we want to stand as role models for future engineers and scientists. That's what Bud did, and that's a legacy we're proud to continue into the next 65 years and beyond.

Brian Burke, Product Manager
In his presentation, he talked about how to design debris-tolerant guided motion systems. He explained how DualVee Motion Technology fits the bill, with its vee-edge design that sloughs off dirt and keeps machinery running long and strong with less maintenance.

But hey, if you missed the webinar, that's OK, you can view the webinar here:
