Since the creation and patenting of the original DualVee v bearing guide wheel in 1966, it has offered customers easy to use and easy to install v guide wheel components and assemblies. DualVee v bearing components are ideal for a wide array of applications, from the clean room to the sawmill. These rugged yet economical v bearing components are quiet and ideal in long length applications while being tolerant of harsh environments.
DualVee v bearing guide wheels consist of both an external and internal 90 degree Vee angle. The v groove guide wheel is made with a double row angular contact bearing for excellent load capability and long life. V bearing guide wheels are available in 52100 steel or 440C stainless steel from stock. Other options include seals and shields to meet specific application needs. Special DualVee guide wheels are available for clean room, vacuum, low temperature and high temperature applications. Customer specific lubricants can also be used upon request. Studded V Bearing Guide Wheels
Studded v groove guide wheels combine the versatility and robustness of the DualVee v bearing guide wheel with convenience of a thru-hole mounting stud into a single piece. Concentric or eccentric stainless steel studs are riveted onto the wheels for a strong connection.
Integral V Bearing Guide Wheels
Patented DualVee integral v bearing guide wheels offer a one piece construction. Sizes 2-4 steel wheels feature a one piece bushing or stud shaft with a machined inner bearing race. Sizes 0-1 steel and all polymer wheels utilize a riveted retaining technology to secure the wheel to the stud. Integral wheels add overmolded high performance polymer DualVee wheels and MadeWell crown rollers to the DualVee family to provide further component versatility. Washdown V Groove Guide Wheels
New washdown wheels' patented design features all stainless steel construction, FDA approved grease, AISI type 440C stainless steel balls and races, and are both sealed and shielded for added protection from liquids and debris. This unique design extends life in aggressive environments - at least 3x.
How It Works:
The overmolded metallic shield acts as a momentary seal when subjected to a stream of high velocity washdown fluid. The fluid velocity causes the rubberized shield to deflect and conform to the metallic surface of the wheel, sealing against the ingress of liquids. The inner seal provides the principal line of defense, ensuring that external fluids are kept out of the wheel while retaining the internal lubrication grease; both important factors affecting the life of the wheel.
Once the stream is directed away from the wheel, the deflected shield returns to its original position, allowing any residual fluid that entered the zone between the shield and seal to drain out or be spun out by centrifugal force.
Patented Design
Single Edge Track
Single edge track is available in AISI 1045 carbon steel and 420 stainless steel from stock. At the Vee edge, a mounting shoulder is provided for quick reference during assembly. Track is offered with or without hardened Vee surfaces. Hardened track comes in lengths of 20 feet, and can be easily butt-jointed for longer length applications. Non-hardened track comes in lengths up to 22 feet, and also may be butt-jointed for longer lengths. Additionally, all single edge track may be purchased with or without drilled holes for mounting. NewQuickTrak series clamp extrusion is also available for fast and easy installation of size 3 DualVee track.
Double Edge Track
Double edge track is made from AISA 1045 carbon steel, with two hardened or non-hardened Vee edges. One Vee edge also has a mounting shoulder like the single edge track. Hardened track comes in lengths of 20 feet, and can be easily butt-jointed for longer length applications. Non-hardened track comes in lengths up to 22 feet, and also may be butt-jointed for longer lengths. All double edge track may be purchased with or without drilled holes for mounting.
Journals and Bushings
Journals and bushings provide time proven methods to affix DualVee v bearing guide wheels. Eccentric and concentric versions of journals and bushings provide optimum adjustment for each individual application. Bushings are available in standard height or low profile versions, as well as metric and inch versions.
Wheel Covers
Wheel covers provide lubrication to the Vee interface between the track and the v bearing guide wheel to help keep your DualVee system running at its best. The guide wheel is protected from direct contact with particulate or spray. Wheel covers come in a variety of sizes and heights to accommodate various bushings and integral guide wheels.
Lubricators
Lubricators, like wheel covers, provide lubrication to the Vee interface between the track and the v bearing guide wheel to help keep your DualVee system running at its best. Lubricators come in a variety of sizes and heights to accommodate various bushings, journals, and integral guide wheels.
Track Plate Assemblies
Track plate assemblies combine your choice of single edge DualVee track with an easy to mount aluminum base. The aluminum base is made from high precision aluminum alloy with an anodized coating. Track plate assemblies are easily butt-jointed to provide infinite lengths.
Wheel Plate Assemblies
There are two choices for wheel plate assemblies, wiper wheel plates and basic wheel plates. Wiper wheel plates are available with your choice of DualVee v bearing guide wheels and provide the lowest height solution. Basic wheel plates are the more economical choice and are supplied with your choice of DualVee v bearing integral wheels, and either lubricators or wheel covers. Both the wiper wheel plate and the basic wheel plate are intended to run on track plate assemblies.
