What is different about PDU2 when compared to other Bishop-Wisecarver driven slide systems?

PDU2 carriages ride on crowned roller wheels instead of the conventional vee-guide wheels. The wheels themselves are made of a proprietary polymer designed for high performance and long life without re-lubrication.

What does “PDU2” stand for?

Profile Driven Unit.  The “2” signifies Hepco’s size classification of the slide based on their existing product lines.

What type of drive mechanism does the PDU2 employ?

PDU2 is belt driven, utilizing an AT3-20mm wide polyurethane belt reinforced with steel cords.

What is the longest length available for a PDU2 unit?

PDU2 is available with a beam length of up to 6 meters long.

What accessories are available with the PDU2?

Components such as mounting brackets for gantry applications, custom-fitted motor mounts, and sensor kit assemblies are available for the PDU2.

Is the PDU2 available in versions other than belt driven?

The PDU2 is only available as a belt driven system.  The PSD120 offers a ball screw driven version.
