What is different about PDU2 when compared to other Bishop-Wisecarver driven slide systems?

PDU2 carriages ride on crowned roller wheels instead of the conventional vee-guide wheels. The wheels themselves are made of a proprietary polymer designed for high performance and long life without re-lubrication.

What does PDU2 stand for?

Profile Driven Unit. The 2 signifies Hepco's size classification of the slide based on their existing product lines.

What type of drive mechanism does the PDU2 employ?

PDU2 is belt driven, utilizing an AT3-20mm wide polyurethane belt reinforced with steel cords.

What is the longest length available for a PDU2 unit?

PDU2 is available with a beam length of up to 6 meters long. Travel length is 175mm shorter than the beam length.

What accessories are available with the PDU2?

Components such as mounting brackets for gantry applications, custom-fitted motor mounts, and sensor kit assemblies are available for the PDU2.

Is the PDU2 available in versions other than belt driven?

The PDU2 is only available as a belt driven system. The PSD120 offers a ball screw driven version.
